No call center. No subcontractors. When you call Nexen, you get Leo — a licensed master electrician who shows up, does the work right, and stands behind it.
Nexen Electric is a one-person operation, and that's on purpose. I'm Leo — a licensed master electrician with 11 years in the trade, and I run every job from the first phone call to the final inspection. When you call Nexen, you're not routed through a dispatcher or handed off to a subcontractor. You're talking to the person who's actually going to do the work in your home.
Master electrician is the highest license tier Maryland issues — it takes years of documented field experience, state board exams, and ongoing compliance with the National Electrical Code. My license is MD Master Electrician #01-36499, and Nexen is fully insured. That means every job I do is pulled on a permit, done to code, and inspected — with a paper trail that protects you when you sell or file an insurance claim.
I've seen too many homeowners burned by the two ends of this trade: the unlicensed handyman who does cheap work that fails inspection (or starts a fire), and the big outfits that send a salesman, quote you $12,000 for a panel, and run the hourly clock until the bill doesn't make sense.
Nexen is built to be the honest middle. Flat-rate pricing — you know the number before I start, and it doesn't change when the job runs long. Straight answers. Clean work. And a licensed pro standing behind all of it. That's the whole business.
Nexen handles residential electrical across Greater Baltimore — from small repairs to full service upgrades. The most common work: panel upgrades, EV charger installation, recessed lighting, dedicated circuits, GFCI outlets, and troubleshooting. If it's residential and electrical, it's what I do all day.
Nexen serves Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, and Anne Arundel County — including Towson, Pikesville, Timonium, Columbia, Catonsville, Owings Mills, Reisterstown, and Dundalk. If you're not sure whether you're in my area, just call and ask.
