Frequently Asked Questions

A standard fixture swap (old out, new in, same box) runs $150–$225. Chandeliers and heavy fixtures that require bracing or are more complex to assemble run $275–$500. New installations where we run wiring from scratch are priced per job. We quote flat-rate before starting — no surprises.

Absolutely — most of our fixture installs are customer-supplied. Have the box and hardware ready, and if possible, read through the instructions so you know if there's anything unusual about the mounting. We'll take it from there.

Yes. Any fixture over 35 lbs requires a support rated for that weight — a standard octagon box or fan-rated box isn't sufficient. We install a fan/fixture brace rated for the fixture weight, which installs through the existing hole without attic access. This is a required step, not an option, and we handle it as part of the job.

That requires running new wire to the new location and capping or removing the old box. It's a more involved job but very doable. We'll walk through the ceiling situation (finished vs. attic access) and give you a flat-rate quote. Often the old hole can be patched and painted over cleanly.
